Sahin is eager to see Klopp again

Back when Nuri Sahin left Borussia Dortmund seeking for new opportunities in football playing for Real Madrid, things didn't work out so well for him with Los Blancos. His spell in Spain was very negative and he lowered his level os play dramatically. But despite this, the still Dortmund manager back then wanted to take him back and recover his best version for the benefit of the team. Jurgen Klopp trusted Nuri and he eventually returned to Dortmund where he is a very happy man today.

During what would be his return to the club that lives him, Jurgen Klopp will also meet many of the players who he discovered and turned into professional players. One of these players is Nuri Sahin, who owes his life to Klopp: "We have worked for seven, eight years. That he knows us is beyond question. We know him well. We all have a great relationship with Klopp. That will not suffer in these two games."

After signing for Real Madird and not working as a player, Sahin played at Anfield Road for a season on loan before returning to Dortmund. He remembers that period as a happy time: "I was only there for three and a half, four months. It was a short but very nice time. I cannot say anything bad about this club. It was my desire to go back to Borussia. What I will never forget is the training ground. The club Liverpool is great. Even if they have not won a major title since 2005, it is an extremely well-organized team."
