Sassuolo stuns Inter Milan with 2-0 sneaky win

Inter Milan wasted an opportunity to stay on AC Milan’s tail by conceding two goals to Raspadori and Scamacca in the first half itself. Nerazzurri later gave their best to make a comeback but were denied repeatedly. On the table, Inter was on top of free-spirited Sassuolo but still fell ultimately.

Simone Inzaghi’s men kept searching for a breakthrough but missed key players in their squad, Alessandro Bastoni, and Marcelo Brozovic were serving suspension while Joaquin Correa, Robin Gosens, and Matias Vecino were ruled out before the match. Nerazzurri were left frustrated as they could not get past Consigli in the Sassuolo goal and even saw Stefan de Vrij’s header at 94th minute ruled out by VAR.
