Getting the trust back from all the Argentina followers will be a nearly impossible task for Gonzalo Higuain, his story with the national team has been a failed one at best since he first enrolled to the squad. Three finals have passed and in every single one of them, 'Pipita' has missed incredible chances that could've given Argentina the title. Because if this unfortunate fate, Higuain is regarded as one of the biggest Argentina flops in history.
But there is a lot of people, supporters, pundits from that country and even former players who believe Higuain has only been unfortunate. Some even regard him as one of the best strikers in the country's history, not everyone can become the Serie A's all-time top scorer for a single season. He still has some figures who give him their full support, people like Javier Saviola who represented Argentina in the early 2000's.
Talking to Omnisport, Saviola came out to defend Higuain from critics and predicts he will silence all of them: "Higuain has been demonstrating his efficiency in all the clubs that he has played for. He has a very high goal average. He was top goal-scorer on his last stay in Napoli. He is always among the best goal-scorers of his team, and also of Europe. There are always ups and downs, but he has enough level to stand in the way of these moments."
