Schalke beats Hoffenheim 4-0

Schalke came out on top against Hoffenheim by defeating them 4-0 in the night. In an attempt to thaw their 31st record-equaling consecutive loss. The star of the night was Matthew Hoppe whose hat trick placed them ahead in an attempt to come out of the bottom of the table. This was the first win for the Royal Blues which was possible by Amine Harit who assisted Hoppe thrice and converted the fourth goal himself. A great night for Schalke coach Christian Gross who was able to lead the team to a win from his second game as in charge and praised the efforts put in by goalkeeper Ralf Faehrmann.

In other Bundesliga matches VfL Wolfsburg drew up 2-2 with FC Union Berlin, Mainz took Schalke’s place at the bottom after a 2-0 defeat by Frankfurt. SC Freiburg had a great night with a 5-0 rout against FC Cologne.
