Empoli have officially brought back Aurelio Andreazzoli for a second spell as coach. He will replace Beppe Iachini, who was sacked earlier on Tuesday after a poor run of results.

This latter had been shockingly chosen in November after team's performances during Andreazzoli's first run and where Empoli did not seem to play so badly.

Anyway, the 65-year-old coach marks a return to Empoli, having even led the side to promotion last season from Serie B.

Andreazzoli, who formerly assisted Luciano Spalletti at Udinese and Roma, takes over a Tuscan outfit who are dangerously just one point above the drop zone in Serie A.
