Il Messaggero, Gazzetta dello Sport all state Brescia owner Massimo Cellino sent Balotelli a letter requesting a dissolution of his three-year deal.

Although the contract runs until 2022, there is a break clause at the end of the season if the Rondinelle are relegated to Serie B.

As per La Gazzetta, no legal action is necessary as the termination was negotiated with the 29-year-old’s lawyers.

‘SuperMario’ (his undeserved nickname) only signed for his hometown club last summer after four years in France with Nice and Olmypique Marseille.

He scored five goals in 19 Serie A games but began skipping training sessions after the coronavirus lockdown was eased.
