Serie A: Napoli's Albiol season could be over

According to Corriere dello Sport, Albiol has not been included in Napoli’s squad to face Fiorentina due to the ‘delicate condition’ of his left knee.
The newspaper wrote the Spaniard flew to Barcelona a few days ago to meet Dr Angel Ruiz Cotorro, who helped tennis star Rafael Nadal overcome his own knee issues.
The 33-year-old has managed to make 33 appearances for the Partenopei this season but would have been ‘tormented’ by a tendinopathy ‘for some time’.
The Corriere writes there is also the possibility for Albiol to undergo stem cell therapy like Nadal but warns that in this case, his season is ‘at great risk’ of ending early.
