Sevilla doesn't mind if Vietto joins Barcelona

FC Barcelona's forward positions are currently quite literally kidnapped by the best players in the world right now, this is the main reason why many players in that position have rejected a transfer to the Catalan club. They know they aren't going to play and have decided that despite being offered a really juicy contract they prefer to play in other clubs where they can play a large number of minutes. This is the case with many strikers such as Luciano Vietto.

The Atletico Madrid forwards is being pursued by both Barcelona and Sevilla FC, the difference is that in Barcelona he would hardly play any games because Neymar, Luis Suarez and Leo Messi are the main players in those positions Vietto can perform at his best. Sevilla on the other hand, have offered him to be in the starting eleven and become a very important player for the club. But given that Vietto has been in meetings with Barcelona, Sevilla president Castro, invited him to reject their offer and join the Catalan club.

Talking to Cadena Cope, Castro said: "Vietto is a superb player and hopefully we can bring him into our squad," he told Cadena Cope. [Sporting director] Monchi is working hard and he is one of the options, but I'm sure there are others. I don't know if Vietto likes Barcelona more - if he does, he should go there. It's important that players are where they want to be."

About Gameiro's links to Barcelona, Castro added: "Gameiro is an extraordinary footballer. When [Carlos] Bacca was here, he always used to come on and score goals," he said. "He's had two seasons with us, we want to renew his contract and to continue to make the Sevilla fans happy with his goals."
