Sevilla reach their third straight Europa League final

From the very start of the match one could see the faces of all the Sevilla FC fans, they knew that they had a real chance of making history this Thursday in their particular Europa League history. They are already the team that has the most trophies in this tournament with four victories, but if they reached the final this season they would become the only team in history to reach three consecutive finals. This was the main motivation for everyone at Sevilla tonight, in front they had a powerful team from Ukraine that wasn't going to put things easy for them.

But the crowd's support was a little too great for all the Shakhtar players to endure, they were playing in hell as far as they were concerned. The main man of the match was none other than Kevin Gameiro, the French player is really becoming Sevilla's top offensive card. His goal on the 9th minute after a dismal mistake from the defense gave Sevilla the hope that they were on to something good this evening, his finish was on point and lifted all the Sevillistas' spirits.

But while they were all savoring the final, just a minute before half time, it was Brazilian Eduardo who started a counter attack with Marlos and finished the play with a beautiful subtle finish that gave Shakhtar some hope for a better performance in the second half. But Frenchman Kevin Gameiro was out for blood this evening, and as soon as he started the second half he combined with Krychowiak in a speedy counter attack that nearly finished the rival's hopes for a comeback.

Ten minutes later the deal breaker for Sevilla came from Mariano's right foot and far away, Vitolo saw him with space on the right flank and passed the ball. Mariano let loose his spirits with a beautiful long range screamer that placed Sevilla in the final. Unfortunately for Spain, Villarreal got eliminated by Liverpool and prevented the Iberian country to have an all Spanish European double final in both the Europa League and the Champions League. But this doesn't tamper with Sevilla's dream of enlarging their already impressive history in this competition. Kudos to Sevilla for this amazing achievement.
