Simeone frustrated after Atletico's defeat

After last Saturday's thriller in Mestalla, we could only hope for a match that rivaled that one in this Sunday's fixtures. The better candidate to do that was the Atletico Madrid vs Sevilla game at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, Simeone had already predicted a possible defeat for his side. This defeat came with a late winner scored by N'Zonzi, this is how Sevilla took on La Liga's second spot behind Real Madrid.

Simeone was disappointed for losing the game, but he wasn't surprised because he clashed against a title contender: "They could finish a good scoring chance. I think that we had moments in the first half in which we could have taken the game. In the second half, they started better, that is why Tiago came out. The match continued on the same path and then the goal was scored. We did not finish well in our chances to score, but that is what we work for. I leave knowing the team played for what we were looking for."

N'Zonzi dismissed title talk for Sevilla after scoring the winner: "It's very early to say if we can battle for championship. But it is very good to be where we are – we'll see. It was a very important win and against a very strong rival. We knew it was going to be really hard but we are very happy with our performance in a very difficult game against Atletico, who are obviously a very good team."
