Simeone is buzzing after Carrasco's performance

This Saturday a star was born for Atletico Madrid, Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco is another one of those incredibly talented Belgian players who came out of nowhere to become Atletico Madrid's most talented dribbler. This Saturday against Granada, he got to score a hat-trick and gave two assists in the Colchoneros' staggering 7-1 victory. There is no doubt that from now on, he will be talked about on the same level as teammate Antoine Griezmann, and this is just the glimpse of what's to come from him according to Simeone.

The Argentine said this about the Belgian player: "I'm very happy for Carrasco. He is a very complete player, with a bright future ahead of him. He is on the path to getting even better. We work with him day by day to help him play like he did today. All of the players responded in the best way possible. The players who came off the bench today [Gaitan, Tiago and Fernando Torres] also contributed to winning this game."

Simeone was surprised with the support from the fans: "I was surprised by how many kids were in the stands. It's necessary that they became enamored with the passion and ambition that is in the atmosphere."
