Southampton deals more misery on Norwich

Southampton’s Che Adams and Oriol Romeu stay on target as the team beats bottom dwellers Norwich City by 2-0 in the Premier League match on Friday and Canaries slumped to their third straight defeat. Scottish international Adams punished Norwich at 36th minute first by finding the back of the net to score his seventh Premier League goal of the season. Southampton took control of possession and did not look back.

Mohamed Elyounoussi twice had the chance to improve the lead but sent the first volley into the keeper’s arms and sent the second effort wide. Adams efforts for a brace also did not result in a goal when his header was deflected. Norwich on the other hand did little to threaten Southampton, who climbed ninth with 35 points to leapfrog Brighton.
