Spezia secured their Serie A status after defeating Udinese

After winning against Udinese with a 3-2 win, Spezia secured their Serie A status, despite missing a penalty. The visitors required 2 points in the remaining two rounds to guarantee their Serie A safety. Leo Sena, Ebrima Colley, and Hristov were injured and Simone Bastoni was suspended. While for the hosts, Beto and Isaac Success were undergoing treatment, and Rodrigo Becao was banned.

The aggressive start was from Spezia while Rey Manaj scored the side-netting. Udinese was leading when Ivan Provedel saved Destiny Udogie’s header. In just 30 minutes of the game, Spezia lost Arkadiusz Reca due to injury but his replacement Salva Ferrer shot in the cross for the equalizer. In the first half stoppages, the visitors turned it around completely and Ferrer was the provider once again.
