Spurs make inquiry about Jonathan David amid Juventus doubts

The Canada international was prolific and a fan favourite at Lille OSC. However, having run down his contract with Les Dogues over the summer, he signed for Juventus on a free transfer, amid interest from a whole host of European giants.

But since arriving in Turin, he has just one goal and one assist in 11 matches. His output falls significantly below expectations and according to a report from Sky Sports, the striker could leave Juventus, perhaps even as early as January.

As mentioned, many clubs were interested in the Canada international in the summer and his entourage remain in contact with several clubs, some of whom have made enquiries about David’s availability. As per Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur are one of those clubs, the other being Bayern Munich. Whilst it is not a given that David will leave, a quick turnaround is needed at Juventus.
