'Stoicism' - Romeo Lavia posts cryptic Instagram update

Lavia has endured an extremely difficult first season at Chelsea following his big-money summer move from Southampton. The midfielder arrived in a deal worth £53 million ($67m) but has only made one substitute appearance for his new club due to a succession of injuries. He was ruled out for the season back in March after suffering a setback in his recovery from a thigh injury sustained in December.

Chelsea have been plagued by injuries to key players all season with stars such as Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Christopher Nkunku joining Lavia in missing long periods. However, Lavia does appear to be making progress in his rehabilitation.

Chelsea finish their season with games against Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Bournemouth. Lavia will not feature in any of those fixtures but will be hoping to regain full fitness in time for the club's pre-season tour of the United States in July.
