Strong looking AS Monaco defeats Auxerre

After the international break, AS Monaco returned to play with a bang, thrashing AJ Auxerre 0-3 on the road in front of 1000 traveling supporters. Thilo Kehrer's thunderous header gave Les Monegasques the lead early on, setting off a fantastic start that AJA goalie Donovan Leon could not handle. In the 25th minute, Vanderson scored a brilliant goal following a beautiful cross from Denis Zakaria, as Monaco quickly doubled their lead, eager to keep up the pace.

Even though Les Rouge et Blanc almost scored another goal before halftime, they were nonetheless satisfied with their impressive first 45 minutes. Under control and hardly tested, Monaco capped off a fantastic display by scoring a third goal later on via Zakaria to make it 0-3. Next up for ASM is a tantalizing home matchup in the Champions League against Barcelona, where they want to replicate their stunning preseason Joan Gamper Trophy victory.
