Stuttgart rallies to draw 1-1 with Augsburg

After a fiercely contested match on Friday, Wataru Endo of Japan scored the equalizer for the visitors in the 78th minute after Augsburg's Dion Beljo dove to head in the first goal. Prior to the weekend's games, Stuttgart, who with 10 men rallied for a dramatic 3-3 draw against Borussia Dortmund last week, is now 16th and in the relegation play-off position. Aiming to move further away from the relegation zone, Augsburg, however, lost crucial ground. With 30 points, they are 13th, five points ahead of Stuttgart.

Following their Champions League elimination, the league's top team, Bayern Munich, will go to Mainz on Saturday while Borussia Dortmund, in second place, will host Eintracht Frankfurt. The two championship title contenders are separated by just two points.
