Tabarez believes this point was important for Uruguay

Uruguay is strong again in the South American World Cup Qualifiers, all they needed was Luis Suarez back. The Barcelona player who is considered one of the best players in the world, was the main responsible for Oscar Tabarez's four points in their last two matches. These two results left them in second place just one point behind Brazil who have 21 units, the draw against Colombia wasn't so negative for them.

The boss spoke about the match development and also talked abouthow important it is for them to stay ahead of their closest persecutors, he said this after the match: "For the circumstances and for the table it is [an] important [result]. Beyond Uruguay and Colombia there is a break in the table and to keep a distance with those coming back is very important.

"We are satisfied. Conscious it was a very challenging match, we could have lost or gained ground. The more clear chances in the second half were from Uruguay. I think the draw is good and rewarding the work of the two teams. There is no perfect game. We suffered a lot here. We got a draw with much effort, which makes me proud."
