“The news is true. Buriram wanted to sign Aung Thu for their club but we are discussing the matter. It is too early to say what his salary and other benefits will be, as negotiations are still underway.” he said.
Buriram United is a big team in Thailand’s League 1, winning two championship titles over the last three years. The team currently has players from Croatia, Israel, Serbia, Uzbekistan and the Philippine on its roster.
National team member Aung Thu transferred from Yadanarbon to the Thai League 1 club Police Tero FC in 2018 and then moved again to Muang Thong United in 2019 before he coming back to Yadanarbon FC this year.
While he showed his abilities with Police Tero, scoring 11 goals in 31 games, he struggled to show his abilities with Muang Thong United and score only three goals in 13 matches.
