The Blues are reportedly keeping an eye on a young player

The Blues are reportedly keeping an eye on the young player for the upcoming transfer window. Scouts overseas have been pleased by Souza's potential, despite the fact that he is not a sure starter for Santos this season. The board is carefully managing the situation while assessing the increasing interest from Europe. His contract with the Brazilian club expires in 2028.

Making his first-team debut last year, Souza has already made 19 appearances in 2025 and recorded two assists. On September 28, he most recently contributed during the 1-1 draw with Red Bull Bragantino. Despite playing few minutes in the games against Grêmio and Ceará, he is still regarded as one of Santos' best young players. If a deal does go ahead, he would follow a familiar path. Chelsea already have former Santos forward Deivid Washington in their ranks and previously signed midfielder Ângelo Gabriel.
