Manchester City made a statement in the Champions League this Tuesday in a spectacular manner, his side proved that they can play beautiful football like the one Guardiola knows how to play. Actually, Bayern Munich wasn't all that equipped to combine like this Manchester City is, their football demonstration was simply sublime at Bucarest. They won 5-0 with an amazing set-up for next week's return leg at Etihad Stadium, this result will give Guardiola a chance to rest many main players and give room to the youngsters who want to make an impact in the team.
The first goal came at the 13th minute after Raheem Sterling gave David Silva a beautiful assist, the Spaniard didn't waste the effort and plunged his shot into the bottom corner. Before the Silva goal, Sterling had been taken down inside the box and Aguero missed a shot from the spot, around the 20th minute Aguero missed another penalty but he was going to mend his mistake soon enough. Sterling set the Argentine up for the second goal, at first touch, 'Kun' got to take a shot at first touch and scored City's second goal.
During the second half, Manchester City started feeling more comfortable with the match already decided and they started to play beautifully. Nolito finished a great combination at the start of the second half and managed to score his first goal for City, then almost ten minutes from the final whistle, Aguero came back to finish off Steaua. It was a perfect combination at first touch between Nolito, De Bruyne and Aguero that the Argentine finished in spectacular fashion. But just a minute before the end, 'Kun' got his hat-trick with a well-placed right-footer straight to the bottom corner after another play with De Bruyne. This Guardiola side does look quite menacing. The return leg will be on August 24 at Etihad Stadium.
