Thomas Frank's team finally put a stop to the so-called "pre-international break curse" as they ended a seven-game losing streak and won a match before the break for the first time since October 2023. Spurs eventually got the first goal via Mathys Tel after having to come back from behind in three of their previous four games. Leeds responded prior to halftime, but Mohammed Kudus' first Tottenham goal in the second half sealed the victory.
Frank's starting lineup was largely praised, with Xavi Simons finally receiving his natural number 10 position. The primary complaint was that Joao Palhinha and Rodrigo Bentancur were teamed once more instead of Pape Sarr or Lucas Bergvall, who are more exciting options. Compared to previous year, Tottenham's away record this season has been completely different. With three victories out of four, they are ranked top in the league table away from home and are much more at ease there.
