Timo Werner is the subject of attention from Aston Villa. Unai Emery wants to bring in a striker in the January transfer window. As a result, the 27-year-old RB Leipzig forward has emerged as one of two potential winter transfer targets.
Timo Werner has had a fall from grace since leaving RB Leipzig. When he left the Bundesliga club to join Chelsea in July 2020, the German international was one of the world's most highly-ranked attackers. This season, the former Champions League winner has been in and out of RB Leipzig's starting lineup. He has only played 386 minutes in 14 games, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Werner's stock, however, remains high in the Premier League, with numerous teams interested, including Aston Villa. In the January transfer window, Unai Emery, is looking for a new striker to help his team compete for the Premier League and the UEFA Europa Conference League in the second part of the 2023/24 season.
