Todd Cantwell expected as a replacement for Jack Grealish

The reigning Premier League champions Manchester City are not so far from closing the £100 million deal with Aston Villa for their team captain Jack Grealish. To fill his place, Villa have shown interest in Norwich City’s midfielder Todd Cantwell. It is the final year of his contract with Norwich but there is a chance that they might offer an extension. Cantwell is a magnificent player and Norwich would not want to lose him when it’s just two weeks left for the new Premier League season to kick off. It would take a very high and exceptional bid for them to let the youngster go.

Aston Villa and Norwich City have good relations as Villa happily negotiated Emiliano Buendina’s sale in June. So there is a good chance for Villa to have Cantwelll in the team. Manchester City have submitted their offer for Grealish on Friday and they are quite sure that Villa will happily let their captain go.
