Tony Mowbray wants two or three new faces

Mowbray has been aiming to bolster his Sunderland team's experience in order to offer himself more choices. While Ekwah, a young player for West Ham United, does not fall within that criteria, the Hammers are willing to allow him to join Sunderland on loan. And Sunderland is prepared to add him to Mowbray's team since they are aware of talented young players on the Under-21s market. Ekwah, according to West Ham, is at a point in his career when he requires senior football to advance, and they think a stint with Sunderland in the Championship would be useful.

The defensive-minded midfielder has played 10 times for West Ham this season in the Premier League 2. If the loan deal occurs, the 21-year-old will want to feature frequently for Sunderland. The next match for Sunderland will take place at the Stadium of Light against Middlesbrough. They are currently tenth in the Championship rankings.
