Top form Torres is happy Barcelona is next in line

With an all around goal fest against Sporting Gijon, Atletico Madrid left behind any doubts they had at the start of the season. New players such as Nicolas Gaitan and Kevin Gameiro seem to be adapting well to the team's dynamic, and goal scorers Antoine Griezmann as well as Fernando Torres are on point just in time to visit Camp Nou next Wednesday. The Colchoneros defeated Sporting 5-0 with a brace from Griezmann and another one for Torres.

Gameiro scored a fantastic long-range goal right into the top corner, these goals filled them with confidence in what could be one of the most exciting matches of the current season. FC Barcelona is also on a fantastic level now that the MSN has fully recovered, sparks will fly at Camp Nour this next Wednesday. Striker Fernando Torres is already savoring this upcoming match, he spoke to the press after the game against Sporting this Saturday.

Talking to beIN Sport, Torres said: "It's good that all the players can help and also the substitutes. We have a positive dynamic and it is a good moment to play against Barcelona, which is the most complicated rival that we have played in last few years. It's never a good time to play at Camp Nou but it is better to do so when you have confidence. We have found a good streak after those two draws [against Alaves and Leganes] and we started well in the Champions League [a 1-0 win over PSV]. Our confidence is high."
