At the start of 2025 at the halfway point of the season, these teams were separated by two points. Due to an injury problem that sidelined Duvan Zapata, Zanos Savva, Perr Schuurs, and Emirhan Ilkhan, Toro's promising start has faded. Parma missed Dennis Man, Nahuel Estevez, Adrian Bernabé, Alessandro Circati, Gabriel Charpentier, Mateusz Kowalski, Yordan Osorio, and Gianluca Di Chiara after their heart-boosting victory away to Monza. To deflect the header from Nikola Vlasic's cross from Che Adams off the line, Zion Suzuki had to make an incredible one-handed stop.

Matteo Cancellieri was offside as he rolled over for Valentin Mihaila's diving tap-in, but Parma had the ball in the net seconds later. When Suzuki ran out and the Torino attack collapsed, Yann Karamoh waited too long to get the shot off, and the goalie then made another vital fingertip stop on the Adams volley from ten yards out.
