Torino's 3-0 win over Atalanta

With a 3-0 victory over Atalanta, Torino moved up into the top half of the Serie A standings thanks to two goals from Colombian attacker Duvan Zapata. Atalanta, who had lost their previous four games, had triumphed in their previous four trips to the Olympic stadium in Turin; nevertheless, the host team gained the lead in the middle of the first half and never appeared likely to give it up.

When a low cross came in from the left, Zapata was the first to react. With the opposition defenders in a state of shock, he had time to spin and shoot low. Ten minutes into the second half, Antonio Sanabria increased Torino's advantage by scoring from the penalty spot after Alessandro Buongiorno was fouled. Five minutes into extra time, Zapata scored his second goal and Torino's third with a strong effort from right inside the penalty area.
