Torres knows how important the final is for him

During his time at Chelsea, Fernando Torres suffered al kinds of trolling from the Blues fans, they always accused him of not being involved enough in the club's dynamic and agreed that he came to the London club for money and nothing else. All this constant recrimination from the fans, made Torres not enjoy his time there despite winning the Champions League and the Europa League, with him playing an important role in both competitions. But today, all that has changed because he is about to play another Champions League final with the club of his life.

Back when he left for Liverpool he wanted to help the team economically and decided to leave Spain to play in the English Premier League. But he swore to one day return and win titles with the Colchoneros, today he is 90 minutes away from fulfilling that promise and in the most spectacular way. Fernando Torres has become one of Atletico Madrid's most important players on the attack, he is currently going through a second youth that may be very beneficial for the Colchoneros this Saturday.

El Niño spoke about the importance this match has to him: "It means everything, everything you dream of when you are a kid. I have the chance to make this dream come true. I've played for great teams, but this one is special, it's just what I wanted when I was a kid. I had the chance to come back to the club, they gave me the chance to fight for what I really wanted.

"I fight for a place in the team and to score goals again and to be an important player so tomorrow is the game of my life, without doubt. There's no doubt that this is the most important game I'll play ever. I'm very happy to play with this club, I started when I was five. I had the luck of winning with Chelsea and with the Spanish national team but this is something very special to me."
