Tottenham Hotspur climbs to third place after sinking Everton

With a 3-0 victory at their new stadium on Sunday, Tottenham stopped Everton's winning streak and climbed into third position in the Premier League thanks to two goals from Micky van de Ven. During the off-season, Everton moved from Goodison Park to the luxurious new Hill Dickinson Stadium, where they were undefeated in their first five games across all competitions. However, with just their second victory in their past five league games, injury-plagued Tottenham destroyed that perfect start.

Tottenham has the most away points in the Premier League this season, while having a terrible home record in 2025. Tottenham had a strong start to their Champions League campaign and is now five points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal. Richarlison, who replaced Randal Kolo Muani in the second half, missed a great opportunity to score against his former team when he sent a 10-yard effort straight at Pickford.
