Tottenham in turmoil with Ben Davies’ injury

Reports say that Ben Davies’ hamstring injury, which forced him off of Saturday's 3-3 tie between Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton, may take up to six weeks to recover. Ben Davies set for a lengthy injury absence causes problems for the next Tottenham manager now. If Davies' recovery goes according to plan, he won't be ready for the season's final games until May.

The 29-year-old, who was appointed as Wales' vice-captain last week before being forced to withdraw from their most recent squad, has established himself this season under Antonio Conte. He has made a total of 37 appearances for the team this season, starting 21 of Spurs' 28 Premier League games and coming off the bench in the other four. With Conte's tenure at the club anticipated to come to an end, another issue Tottenham may encounter is unfortunately Davies was the club's only fit left-back, with Ryan Sessegnon currently recovering from a leg injury as well.
