With incomings and outgoings anticipated during what promises to be a pivotal few months at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Emerson Royal may be heading elsewhere to take on a new challenge. Before the 2024–25 season, AC Milan has been strongly connected to a move for the Brazilian, who was the subject of interest from Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr in January. Over the last three seasons, Emerson has performed admirably for Tottenham, but this summer might be the moment when the two sides split ways. Pedro Porro has excelled under Postecoglou's tutelage and contributed significantly to the Lilywhites' cause in the closing third with both goals and assists. But Emerson just can't provide what the Spaniard can in terms of skills.
Postecoglou will need to bolster his squad's talent in order for Tottenham to continue climbing the league standings and contending for major awards. The team wants to improve upon its fifth-place showing from 2023–2024.
