Tottenham thrashed Everton 4-0

Following his one-match club suspension for ingesting laughing gas, Yves Bissouma made amends with Ange Postecoglou by comparing himself to a mischievous youngster who was now acting appropriately.

After being put back to the starting lineup, the Mali international gave Postecoglou every reason to be optimistic with a spectacular 20-yard goal that opened the score. In his 57th game for the team, Bissouma scored his first goal for Spurs. He celebrated it with a remorseful wave before sprinting to the touchline to give his manager a hug. After that, Jordan Pickford threw in the towel when he made a terrible mistake that let Heung-min Son double Tottenham's advantage. Just two games into the season, Cristian Romero headed a third, and Son added another late on to send Everton spiraling toward complete crisis-club status.
