Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund ended goal droughts in a resounding 3-0 victory for Manchester United over struggling Leicester, which was marred by a serious-looking injury to teenager Ayden Heaven. Following an outstanding first senior competitive appearance in Thursday's Europa League triumph over Real Sociedad, the 18-year-old, who joined from Arsenal last month, put up a striking first-half performance at the King Power Stadium.
Shortly after halftime, however, Heaven's whole Premier League debut came to a painful end when the United center-back was carted out on a stretcher following extensive treatment after he was injured while preventing Patson Daka from reaching a cross. Garnacho followed suit in the second half, scoring his first goal after another attempt had been disallowed for offside only moments before, breaking his 24-match goalless skid. Outstanding captain Bruno Fernandes scored the third goal in the closing moments.
