United defender Rojo pondering January exit

The Argentine wants to represent his country but knows he will not be able to force his way back into the national team if he is not playing for his club.

The 29-year-old has only made 63 Premier League starts for Man Utd since he joined in a £16 million deal from Sporting Lisbon in 2014.

The centre-back was reportedly 'angry' that a move to Everton could not be finalised before the end of the transfer window.

He was left out of Argentina's 2019 Copa America squad - who reached the semi-finals - due to a lack of game time.

After a decent pre-season at Old Trafford, Rojo has been told by Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni that he could be part of his plans - if he plays.
