The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported that French defender Dayot Upamecano of Bayern Munich has set his sights on a transfer to Real Madrid and has offered himself to the royal club, as his contract with the Bavarian team nears its end.
The newspaper clarified that Real Madrid has become the preferred destination for many stars who prefer to wait until the end of their contracts before determining their fate, as was previously the case with David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger, and Alexander Arnold.
Upamecano, who is 26, is considered a key pillar in the defense of Bayern Munich and the French national team alongside his teammate Ibrahima Konate, who has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid. The French player’s name was previously associated with the royal club before his transfer to Bayern, and it seems he still dreams of taking the step to play at Santiago Bernabeu.
