The Uruguay National team had to play this match against Jamaica out of pure protocol, they were already eliminated from the Copa America Centenario after losing their last match against Venezuela. The Jamaicans were also only playing for sport, but that doesn't mean they didn't want to go out in style and leaving a good impression. The match had Uruguay as the main commander of the ball and offense, they got to create many plays with advantage against a very accessible Jamaican side.
On the 20th minute, Nicolas Lodeiro found Abel Hernandez with a pass between the lines, Uruguay's #8 finished with a chip over the goalkeeper for the Charruas' first goal of the day. The match wen't into half time with this momentary advantage for Uruguay, they just needed to keep the same kind of script for the remain of the game and they would win without any problems. Striker Edinson Cavani was off point during the whole match, this Copa America hasn't been the most fortunate for his aim.
Already on the second half, Jamaica gave more space for Uruguay to get to the box with the ball controlled. On the 66th minute there was a moment in which defender Watson was unlucky and pushed a ball inside his own goal. It was Cavani's fault but the striker wasn't lucky. The one who was in luck was Mathias Corujo, who manages to score a goal just 15 minutes after getting in thanks to a Muslera long pass from the other side of the field. It was his first goal with Uruguay's National Team. This was the final result for Uruguay, who just came to the US for a tour and only to compete in this match.
