Valencia 1-1 draw with Real Betis

Valencia knew that any points would go a long way towards ensuring their spot in La Liga as they approached the final week in danger of relegation. They managed to hold Real Betis to a 1-1 tie, but it wasn't easy because the star of the U.S. men's national team was sent off shortly after entering the game. Musah, who entered the game in the 78th, was dismissed in the 81st for a severe foul on Edgar Gonzalez of Real Betis.

Valencia hung on for a draw to secure a 16th-place finish as a result of Musah's departure. In the end, the team ended two points above the relegation zone, with Elche following Real Valladolid and Espanyol into the second level. Musah's foul may have been his final move while wearing a Valencia jersey because the American has been heavily linked to a summer transfer.
