Valencia and Cadiz hold each other to a draw

Valencia climbed out of the relegation zone as the year brings good news for once for the struggling side, though Javi Gracia’s side is not out of trouble yet with 8 winless games in La Liga. The match ended in a 1-1 draw with Cadiz on Monday, they went ahead first in the second half with a goal from Anthony Lozano. The Honduran forward tried to score later as well but failed to hit the post while his teammate Juan Cala was also denied a score. Valencia later equalized with Uruguay striker Maxi Gomez scoring in the 79th minute with an assist from Jose Gaya.

This was the most Valencia could have hoped for. Valencia is now 17th on the table but 18th placed Elche are level on points with them with two more games in hand. As for Cadiz, they are currently 10th with 20 points. It is hard to believe that Valencia had thrashed Real Madrid by 4-1 in November and is struggling in the league now.
