Van der Vaart approves Janssen's arrival to Spurs

As one of Tottenham's most respected players from the past few years, Dutch playmaker Rafael Van der Vaart has a lot to say about compatriot and newcomer Vincent Janssen. The striker arrived from Dutch club AZ Alkmaar to compete with Harry Kane for a spot in the starting XI. At only 22 years old, Janssen has a bright future ahead of him according to Rafa who claims to know him very well and knows his talents perfectly.

During his last season with AZ, Janssen was his team's best player and one of the best strikers in Holland during the last tournament. In 34 matches, he managed to score 27 goals and made a talent display that called the attention of many big clubs in Europe. Luckily for him, Tottenham was the one club that trusted him and decided to take the leap of faith. For Van der Vaart, it was a good call and Janssen will bring many good nights to White Hart Lane.

Talking to the club's website, Rafael said: “In my opinion, Tottenham have signed a great striker. He’s still young but he’s a real striker. He loves to play and work for the team but he doesn’t just score goals, he makes goals as well. If you work hard at Tottenham and in the Premier League, people will love you and if you score goals, you will be a legend. I hope he will do both. I think it’s a great signing for Tottenham and a great move for Vincent.”
