Varane and Evans join Man Utd growing injury list

United coach don't know if Varane and Evans will be available for Sunday for the big game against Liverpool.

There seems to be no end to the injury curse at United this season. The Red Devils have been hampered by the absence of key players who have been forced off the field throughout the campaign and have suffered a number of defensive absentees recently.

The Mancunians went into the game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which they lost dramatically in stoppage time after two Cole Palmer goals, with Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia missing.

"Also Casemiro we have to take off. That doesn't help. You need these types to show leadership and what to do," he said.

"I don't know if they will play. The team will be there on Sunday. They have character. They showed it today, fighting ourselves into the game," Ten Hag told.
