There was a big party today at King Power Stadium, Leicester City was celebrating their first ever Premier League title and boy did they celebrate? Italian manager Claudio Ranieri called in a favor from an old friend and invited world famous opera singer Andrea Bocelli to properly finish this amazing season with the foxes hearing him sing. All the free beers and free food payed off, al the fans were completely surrendered to the team's amazing year. But there was still more reasons for celebrating, they were about to close up their season at home against Everton, a victory was the best way to do it.
The goal party started really early with Jamie Vardy who came back from a three-match ban, he received a beautiful cross from the right by Andy King and delivered a first touch finish for the Foxes first goal of the night at the fifth minute of the first half. Then on the 33rd minute the ball bobbled loose after Mahrez ran down the end line and there was Andy King again but this time to finish with a well placed right foot shot for Leicester's second goal of the night. The match went to half time with this result.
Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy got taken down inside the box on the 65th minute of the match and he was the one who scored a brace from the spot after a penalty was awarded for him. This night called for a truly great celebration and Vardy was getting closer to Harry Kane at the top of the goalscoring table with 24 goals. All he needed was another goal to reach him, he had his chance to get a hat-trick after another penalty was awarded fifteen minutes form the final whistle. But Vardy got over excited and sent his strike to the post. Two minutes before the end, Mirallas pulled one back for Everton but that wasn't enough to get back in the game. At the end, Leicester City finished their season at home on the highest not possible. Next and final stop, Stamford Bridge next week against Chelsea.
