Venezia 1-1 draw against Torino

Kike Pérez's first Serie A goal for Venezia was negated by a penalty kick that Nikola Vlasic converted, resulting in a 1-1 tie at the Stadio Grande Torino. Torino and struggling Venezia drew 1-1 on Friday night to start Serie A Week 35. Even if their first goal was disallowed, the Lagunari had a more convincing start and went to Pidemont wanting to earn all three points in the struggle for survival.

Alessio Zerbin pushed the ball inside an empty net, Christian Gytkjaer struck the woodwork on the rebound, and John Yeboah accomplished it all by himself, gliding past two Torino players and curling the ball into the far post. However, a VAR assessment determined that Gytkjær was offside, thus Venezia's goal was disallowed. Torino reacted strongly in the second half, pushing Venezia inside their own half.
