You could see manager Giampiero Ventura yelling at all his players during Italy's match against Albania this Sunday, he was really angry with the performance they were delivering. It was thanks to a Ciro Immobile last minute winner that they got out of Macedonia's stadium alive. They are still at the top of the table next to Spain, but next time they may not be so lucky.
Ventura told Rai Sport that: "About 90 percent of our mistakes were down to a lack of experience and, if you can say that, superficiality. It requires patience when you have a lot of young players on the pitch. The fightback showed great character. We had 10-15 minutes of confusion in which we were not a team, but we got back together and went out to find this victory. This is further proof that we can achieve something very good."
Italy's next match will be played in November against Liechtenstein, Ventura has another month to prepare for that match because his side desperately needs another victory if they want to remain at the top of the table. But playing like this, any away match will be incredibly complicated for the Italians, Ventura knows he needs to improve and maybe, just maybe, he could call Mario Balotelli by then if the striker keeps performing as he is right now.
