VfB secured a home win over Augsburg

Gregor Kobel’s back issue made it impossible for him to attend the match and hence Fabian Bredlow was handed his Bundesliga season debut. They first went ahead at the 11th minute itself when Roberto Massimo found Sasa Kalajdzic who set up Philipp Förster and he opened for VfB. At the 37th minute, Bredlow was put to test when Ruben Vargas’ shot was saved later diverted Marco Richter’s shot as well to maintain the 1-0 lead. Visitors leveled in the second half with Florian Niederlechner’s close-range shot.

At the 74th minute, Kalajdzic answered the leveler by scoring and making the score 2-1 in favor of VfB. At 85th minutes VfB’s Luca Mack was handed his debut as well and VfB finished the match by winning the match.
