Back in the day when Serbian Nemanja Vidic defended Manchester United's shirt, he was very good friends with Welshman Ryan Giggs. Since then, Vidic saw the manager capabilities Giggs has and always urged his friend to pursue that path. Now that there is an actual chance for him to take on the big job with the Red Devils no less, Vidic has sent a message to United's board asking them to take Ryan Giggs under consideration for Van Gaal's place when the Dutchman leaves the club.
Speaking to the BBC, Vidic said: "I like the idea of Giggsy, but Mourinho has had success in the past. It's a hard choice. Is Giggsy ready or not? He knows. The club knows. I believe they will have an honest conversation. I would like to try to be a manager in English football.Training Manchester United someday is a dream. If you ask any United player if they want to be manager one day, they will say 'yes', but I am a long way from that."
But the Serbian is not the only one who is endorsing Giggs to take the job at United, in past days, legends like Dwight Yorke and Paul Scholes have also said in public that they support Giggsy to take on the challenge. Every day that goes by, there are more and more clues that surface putting Giggs ahead of Jose Mourinho to take on the job, and while that happens manager Louis Van Gaal is already planning the club's next season starting with the summer transfers and pre-season. We'll see what happens.
