Villa beats Arsenal 2-0

Unai Emery's Aston Villa defeated Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium, putting a blow in Arsenal's Premier League championship hopes. The Gunners were soundly defeated when Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins scored within three minutes of each other, stunning the home crowd.

Arsenal suffered their fifth league defeat of the season, putting them in second place, two points behind defending champions Manchester City, following Liverpool's loss to Crystal Palace earlier on Sunday. Villa was superb in the second half, they dominated the match entirely first substitute Bailey tapped home at the back post in the 84th minute before Watkins flew past Arsenal players and scored with style. This was Emery's first return to Villa Park after leaving Arsenal and he celebrated the goal along with Watkins in the 87th minute.
