Villarreal emerged victorious by 3-1 win over Eibar

Villarreal made it back to winning ways after defeating the relegation-threatened Eibar even after they were reduced to a 10- men team. The team opened by scoring one of its quickest goal of the season in 1st minute. Dani Parejo passed the ball to Gerard Moreno who set up Moi. Gomez to push past the Eibar keeper to put Villarreal ahead. Eibar later dominated the show with Bryan Gill taking his chances at the post and put center back Funes Mori and Juan Foyth to task early in the match. Later Carlos Bacca found the back of the net and made it 2-0 but Eibar pulled one back early in the second half.

Villarreal was reduced to a 10-men army in the last 10 minutes but the Yellow Submarine did not sink in fact Moreno kept them afloat by setting up Pedraza later who scored for his side to end up with a 3-1 score.
