Villarreal routed Rayo Vallecano 5-1

Villarreal might have survived Sevilla at the weekend, but this time they changed every chance into a goal. Rayo Vallecano conceded a number of goals in the first half of the match itself building pressure on the side with just a few more matches left to be played in the Spanish League. Rayo Vallecano’s thrashing started with Alfonso Pedraza’s perfect header inside the far post. Sergi Guardiola did manage to level the score with a quintessential effort.

Later Villarreal hailed down misery on their opponents, Juan Foyth scored at the 27th minute. Pedraza then sets up Paco Alcacer to score at the 38th minute and Pau Torres ended the half by tapping in at the far post. Rayo Vallecano’s comeback efforts were commendable in the second half, but to no avail, they left Estadio de Vallecas with zero points from the match.
