Villarreal continues their climb up the La Liga table as they keep their winning streak alive against a spiritless Levante on Monday. Villarreal started the new year with a big win as they destroyed Levante 5-0 in their first game of 2022. The Yellow Submarine built their lead right from the start first Boulaye Dia scored his fourth goal of the season in the eighth minute then in the 13th minute the team increased their lead to two when Pau Torres fired the ball into the back of the net after Iborra flicked the ball into his direction.
To end the halftime with a good lead Gerard Moreno came in at the 37th minute to score the team’s best goal of the game as he dodged defenders to make it past Aitor. Later in the second half, Aitor denied Manu Trigueros twice but could not stop him from scoring at 74th minute and saw Moreno score his second goal as well minutes later to complete the five-goal thriller.
